Project Brief
The PM turns the discovery recommendation into a small, testable product stage.
AegisShield Web Application Firewall · Product definition and technical validation
AegisShield, BookEasy, the people, findings and decisions are fictional and created for portfolio demonstration.
Purpose and objective
Define and validate a limited AegisShield Firewall first version for one BookEasy web application. The stage must show how an administrator registers the application, configures basic rules, reviews events, tests a block and creates a safe exception for a legitimate booking.
Proposed scope
| Included | Excluded |
|---|---|
| One BookEasy web application in a controlled test environment | Production protection for BookEasy |
| Application registration, basic rules and request review | Rollout to other customers |
| Controlled block testing and exception management | A proprietary detection or blocking engine |
| Roles, permissions, audit records, monitoring and recovery planning | A complete SIEM redesign or promise to detect every attack |
Main deliverables
The stage produces an approved scope and charter, requirements and acceptance checklist, administrator journey and prototype, technical and operating-cost assessment, delivery plan, risk and test controls, and a pilot-readiness recommendation for the sponsor.
Success criteria
The first-release boundary is approved, the customer journey is understandable, Engineering confirms a feasible technical path, Security and Operations identify pilot controls, BookEasy confirms validation scenarios and the sponsor has enough evidence to decide whether to authorize pilot build work.
