Project Brief
The PM summarizes the business need, target state, and proposed BookEasy pilot scope.
Illustrative project record. AegisShield, BookEasy, the people, decisions and outcomes are fictional.
Business need
AegisShield's assessment identified unsupported technology and reliability gaps in the BookEasy connector. The SIEM continues to operate, but these findings increase maintenance and service-delivery risk.
Project objective
Modernize selected SIEM core components and improve the BookEasy connector, then validate the changes with a controlled pilot. The target state preserves existing login, event ingestion, detections, alerts, and dashboard behavior while improving supportability, duplicate protection, and visibility into delivery failures.
Proposed scope
| Included | Excluded |
|---|---|
| Supported runtime and compatible dependencies | A new product or complete SIEM redesign |
| BookEasy connector retries, deduplication, and monitoring | Modernization of every customer connector |
| PostgreSQL migration rehearsal, testing, pilot, and handover | Rollout to all customers |
Key stakeholders and timing
The CTO sponsors the work. The project manager coordinates Engineering, Database, Security, DevOps/SRE, QA, Customer Success, and BookEasy. The initial planning assumption is 12 weeks; resource capacity, dependencies, and detailed acceptance criteria are confirmed during planning.
