Quality Controls

The control plan for keeping speed useful: validate inputs, reject incomplete work, make failures recoverable, and keep final judgment with a person.

Prepared as a public, sanitized technical project-management artifact.
Control principle: An AI workflow is not complete when it generates text. It is complete when the output can be checked, corrected, and safely handed to the next person.

Control register

RiskPotential effectControl / response
Incomplete outputAn article ends mid-sentence or misses required sections.Validate required fields and completion signals; route incomplete output to repair.
Weak source coverageThe draft sounds plausible but is not grounded in the supplied material.Record sources, check expected evidence, and keep the source boundary visible to the editor.
Instruction driftBrand rules or exclusions are lost between stages.Carry structured brief and brand context through each job; check the final document against them.
Provider variabilityLatency, rate limits, or a failed response interrupts production.Use asynchronous stages, retries, bounded attempts, and explicit failed states.
Duplicate or repetitive contentFast production creates output that is technically complete but not useful.Run revision and humanization checks before the editor handoff.
Unsafe handoffThe editor receives a document without context or cannot tell what was checked.Attach status, checks, and recovery notes to the review-ready document.

Review gates

Gate 1 · Input readiness

Brief, brand context, sources, and required fields are present before generation begins.

Gate 2 · Draft completeness

The generated document has the expected structure and does not contain an obvious truncated result.

Gate 3 · Quality review

Source use, tone, formatting, and prohibited output are checked before document creation.

Gate 4 · Human approval

An editor remains responsible for the final correction, approval, or request for changes.

Decision rules

  1. Do not treat successful API responses as proof that the content is complete or publishable.
  2. Do not hide retries: preserve the failure reason and the recovery action in the job record.
  3. Do not turn production volume into a claim about traffic, backlinks, or business impact without separate evidence.
  4. Keep the smallest useful human review point visible in the delivery story.
